2015 is just around the corner. As I sit at my computer, all alone - TopicsExpress

2015 is just around the corner. As I sit at my computer, all alone with the exception of our young grand daughter, I reflect on the year that has been 2014. The fight with the bank has begun, it is for others as well - readers and site members know this. It is tradition that I usually post a clip of the year that has been for the family. Please excuse the lateness, however I will do my best to find some time to complete one, better late than never I suppose. Though this year, there will be no Kev the Kangaroo hiding in the fire place at Mt Morris Station, our land, our home as there was posted for Xmas 2013. There were no Xmas decorations except for the tree, and one star, or family dining together for Xmas. In fact, for the first time ever, the dining table was not set, as not all family members were in the residence we are now in - too many missing for a Xmas. Last night, I checked in, and spent time on the chat function for private messages. (and phone calls) I was chatting to others whom have also been displaced and replaced. Some, like us their first Xmas, others their Second Xmas not in their home. I was told to expect the feelings of loss, grieving and frustration to become stronger, not diminish in the immediate few years. Due to injustices that have been perpetrated (in their experience). For others, whom their financiers hah no choice to foreclose, their loss of their home, their land, came as a great relief not to have to worry any more. This needs to be recognised as well. The differences of relief and grieving and frustration become stronger is one set of people have just gone under, and there is no blame to apportion. Where as the others have been wronged, and are seeking justice. However, unfortunately for the chat conversations, the majority were people whom were wronged - and that is why time does not heal in the first few immediate years of the trauma suffered. Stories of people whose communities turn on them, see them as outsiders are horrible. I cannot imagine what that is like. For us, Charleville is a brilliant town, many landowners, and businesss going out of their way to offer assistance when ever, and where ever they can. Knowing what we are fighting for - for all people with a mortgage - for all small businesss for changes to be brought about to the benefit of all. They know, to do this, we must be successful in our endeavours for justice. The donations for the fighting fund from Charleville people is testament of this. (Not taking away at all from the many other donations to help the fighting fund, thank you to one and all for round #1!) People of the land, our Grazing Fraternity, offering come out, stay here with us, just to get you out of town others bringing us meat, to help us fully get back on our feet again, as we are making small steps, others bringing fuel vouchers to again, assist us all to get on our feet, to give what ever funds we have to the fighting fund so that not just ourselves, but all may at least have a chance of righting wrong doings. Message after message saying Keep going, we are behind you, we support you...so many. To be part of the Charleville Community is a privilege and a testament to how the vast majority have stepped up to the plate, and agree with us, enough is enough, and tell us to continue to push forward. I encourage all communities to unite behind people in your area, any small business that needs supporting who are in financial difficulty support them support the people in your community. This evening, one our family members is away from Charleville. The first Xmas away from the family, and from our home, our land. The protection that Charleville has afforded the family, as stated is unfettered, and unconditional. To receive a phone call from that family member only a few hours ago, who is clearly in distress for being attacked and being called a Greenie and that they are not of the land or the generations before them - makes an anger of protectiveness swell inside of me, that I cannot believe. They are fellow landowners. They have never been displaced or replaced. They have never been subjected to predatory banking, and they do not have the overwhelming support of a town like Charleville who takes care of its own. To have this family member so distressed, speaking unrepeatable things in a public forum that would have dire consequences for our family, makes me question why should our family put ourselves through this - to effect changes for the benefit of all? The answer is community - so as two other family members are now as I type this in transit to bring home one of our own hours and hours away, one of Charlevilles own, I have one message to those who turn their back on their own, and make unfounded accusations and allegations. I, will not forget you. When you are in trouble, I will be there to help you. When we win our battle, I hope you benefit with your financier, as that is what our family is striving to do for you, and all Australians with a mortgage. And if you ever, come near my family again, I will look straight through you, and treat you with the contempt you deserve, and that you have earned, it will be my pleasure to do so. This action on one of our family, is a form of ignorance that is breathtaking at its very best, sheer naivety and they do themselves a great disservice. See, every industry has their Judass and the Grazing and Farming Fraternity is no different. When people unite, then and only then can change be effected. One cannot please all of the people all of the time however our family does not like to leave, rightly or wrongly any of our fraternity behind, I guess that is the difference between some and others. To our site members, thank you for your support, yes it is a long note, however, this is a Living breathing diary of the History of Mt Morris Station and her people, and we still are, her people...
