2015 is off to a sad and alarming start here at the farm. When I went out this afternoon to collect eggs I noticed that there was blood splattered on some of our hens, and after a search found one of our roosters dead in the coop, obviously not from peaceful causes. We think that he died during the night or early this morning, and in our stayed up way too late last night fog we didnt notice that anything was wrong when we let them out this morning. Not sure what happened, which is what makes it so alarming and frustrating - we dont know if theres anything we can do to keep if from happening again. RIP Foghorn, you were a beautiful Roo.
