2015 needs to be different! Maybe Ive never felt like a female who is trapped in a male body, but I know many who do or have. I did, however, grow up in a extremely conservative world that taught me that the way I felt was wrong, punishable, evil, diseased, and unforgivable. I waited 30 years; tried brainwashing, tried prayer, tried therapy, tried church, tried suicide, tried pretending, tried starting a family; before I decided I couldnt take it anymore and had to be honest with the fact that I am gay. Yes it can make you hate yourself, yes it make you hate others, and yes it can make you think that life isnt worth living when you dont feel like anyone will ever love or accept you, especially your family. If we only lived in a world where we could love each other and accept each other for our differences, and not what we have in common, maybe then things like this would not happen. I love you, my sisters and brothers in the #LGBTQIA community. We need to build one another up and work harder to not be silenced by hate or ignorance ❤️
