#202 Boy My life has now become a total failure.Taking up Science was the biggest mistake I have committed.And now I am paying heavily for that mistake. After my satisfactory result in this years ICSE examination, I thought Science would be well under my realm.But it seems a mistake now. I mean I cant concentrate on my studies , my mind wanders off in classes and , to be honest, I start to think about girls. I have even masturbated thinking about some and I really apologize for that. I am sorry for doing that which I shouldnt have done. Now this masturbation has become a problem for which I have tried all type of solutions but nothing works out Due to parental pressure , I took up Science because this is India and every common parent wants an IIT engineer irrespective of what the child wants to do. I am seriously sick of chasing this dream called IIT because I cant take it anymore but I cant even tell my parents about what am I going through. Please if you all provide me with some piece of advice , that would be nice. Anyway I dont care for my life anymore. Once again I apologize to all the girls to whom I have disrespected by doing this shameful act. 11 B Admin says - Ok, some may find this confession laughable and what not, to me, it is serious so Ill give you some serious advice. 1) I understand that you feel apologetic about your masturbatory sessions, but I gotta ask you first, are your actions harming anyone? No they arent. As long as you are excellent to others, youre a good person. Masturbation and fantasies, are natural, you do not need to be apologetic for it. Its not a mistake, its not a fault, as a matter of fact, its actually healthy for you, unless of course your masturbation takes you to real life perversion, thats harmful, if you aint at that stage youre ok. Stop feeling guilty for something that aint your mistake. Youre a teen , your body is changing and such acts are usual. Stop cursing yourself for it. It is not a sin, it is not a taboo. 2) Subject - if youre uncomfortable with Science, and if you think that youve interests in any other stream, talk to the vice principal, see what can be done. Its a serious matter, and it is not too late to change the subject, go and seriously talk to the vice principal regarding the subject. 3) Its a glaring misconception that Science = engineerin / medical. Theres a lot more to Science than that. Actually Engineering and Medical arent even pure science. If you do not want to give engineering exams, youve the pure science streams like Physics and chemistry! You can also do Mathematics honours or completely change your stream to business related mathematics. Most of which have their own entrance exams. To quote a recent prefect speech live life, because it is too short for the what ifs , too short for regrets.
