The STARDUST II collides on the flight back to Terra with the second fleet of the Eastern Bloc. The 200 ships are in the braking phase and are going to land on Venus in no later than one week. The fleet is led by the VLADISLAV KOSSYGIN, where the commander Major General Pjotkin is aboard. In the collision, the flagship is destroyed and 34 ships are heavily damaged. The 199 ships still attempt to reach Venus. On June 12, the STARDUST II reached Terra. In slow flight drives the huge ship across Russia and thus put the people under strong psychological pressure. Deringhouse and Velinskij discover a big part of the political responsibles, especially Strelnikov and Marshal Sirow, and give them a hypnoblock. When, on June 19, the STARDUST II lands in Moscow, surrenders the previously hypnotized, a total of 108 people. Then another 383 men and women come voluntarily and submit to the jurisdiction of the World Court. The previous government is employed again and will set the process of democratization in motion.
