21/06/2014: The waves were a little calmer today and we had a 3 species day! We started off with a small group of white beaked dolphins that did not approach the boat today. Then after a search in deep water we found the sperm whales once again. We are so pleased they are back. The way we know a sperm whale from a distance is by the fact its blow goes forward at an angle and not straight up like other species. This is because they have one blow hole on the left of their head. We saw the huge flukes of the sperm whales rise as they went for a dive. Then once again, underneath the lighthouse, we had a small group of 4 orcas that were doing some feeding. A great day. Judith (Tour guide)
