Sub: Dharna by Delhi University Teachers Association at UGC on 25.9.2014 Dear Sir, This is to inform you that the Delhi University Teachers Association, in pursuance of the decision taken by its General Body on 29.8.2014, is going to hold a Dharna outside the UGC from 1pm to 3pm on Thursday, 25th September, 2014, on the following major demands: 1. Immediate filling up of about 4,500 vacant teaching posts in Delhi University through: (a) Correct Post-Based SC/ST/OBC Reservation Roster as laid down in DOPT OM dated 2.7.1997. (b) No illegal and unacademic points based screening that raises minimum eligibility over and above that laid down by UGC (c) Proper Selection Committee as laid down in UGC Regulation and directed by Visitor in 2003. 2. No retrospective application of the API points system in promotions before 17.8.2013, ie the date of amendment of relevant Ordinances by Delhi University Executive Council 3. Removal of Anomalies in 6th Pay Revision 4. Comprehensive Review and removal of API in promotions 5. Stepping Up as per Orders of DOPT on 4.10.2012 and Finance Ministry as on 4.7.2014 6. Urgent Resolution of CPF to GPF issue and payment of pension due to retired/retiring teachers 7. Setting Up of Pay Review Committee 8. Public Notice about Enquiry on Laptops purchased by DU Administration by diversion of funds from OBC Grant, to enable stake-holders to depose before Enquiry Committee.
