21 DAYS PRAYER AND FASTING (DAY EIGHTEEN) GRACE EXPLODES WITH LABOUR BY PASTOR PAUL THOMPSON One of the laws of motion states that every object will continue in a state of rest until an external force is applied. This law applies in the school of grace. WHAT GRACE IS Grace is the seed of greatness in a man. The seed of greatness in a man is equal to its potential. Grace is the potential deposited in everyone to become amazingly great. The grace was in Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, etc hence they became so great in their time. Everyone has a measure of grace to be successful. But to become more successful, you need Gods exceeding grace. And exceeding grace can only explode on the platform of labour. Genesis 26:12 Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold:and the Lord blessed him. Sowed here indicates labour, work, and active service. Apostle Paul said: 1 Cor.15:10 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Jacob coveted the seed of greatness yet did not become great until he went to work. Genesis 27:27-29 And he came near, and kissed him:and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said,See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the Lord hath blessed:Therefore God give thee of the dew of heaven,and the fatness of the earth,and plenty of corn and wine:Let people serve thee, and nations bow down to thee:be lord over thy brethren,and let thy mothers sons bow down to thee:cursed be every one that curseth thee,and blessed be he that blesseth thee. Genesis 33:11 Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it. Every divine virtue is released on the platform of work. The power to get wealth is released on the platform of work. WHAT LABOUR MEANS Labour means work; it means hard work; it means diligence; it means to serve; it means to engage oneself in profitable venture. John 5:17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work. John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day:the night cometh, when no man can work. BENEFITS OF HARDWORK Hardwork does not kill, it refines and dignifies. No wonder it is commonly said that there is dignity in labour. Proverbs 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business?he shall stand before kings;he shall not stand before mean men. Grace is useless on the platform of laziness, slothfulness and joblessness. Ecclesiastes 10:18 By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through. Grace depreciates at the instance of slothfulness and laziness and idleness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee:for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. God has put a measure of grace in you to stand out from the crowd. Until you stir up the grace, it becomes useless. Proverbs 10:4 He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand:but the hand of the diligent maketh rich. Grace is frustrated on the platform of slackness. Please say this prayer after me: Father, may the grace you have bestowed upon me not be in vain in Jesus name.
