21 October 2014 Catholic Mass Readings Of The Day! GOSPEL: Luke 12:35-38 (Hilarion the Great) Eph 2:12-22 (Without God) Ps 84:9-14 (A voice of Peace) The Gospel of Luke: Blessed are they who open at once when he knocks Scripture: Luke 12:35-38 Paul reminds Ephesians that, at one time they were without Christ, meaning they were strangers to the covenant, excluded from the history of salvation. They were also dead due to sin. Now, however, due to their ardent faith and immense love of God and through the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ, their separation and exclusion have been overcome once and for all; Jews as well as Gentiles for just ‘one people of God’ to grow as the ‘one spiritual sanctuary of God.’ All this, however, is not the result of any human doing but pure gift from God. As such, we should only be glad and grateful and think of leading worthy Christian lives. ~ Reflection on Luke 12:35-38 youtu.be/MDwmLmP2Rjs?list=PLGjM_R2dzPT3iEehXWamVbotgZqB3JzqG
