21 day fast to break the cycle of unbelief Day six Good Morning, Neuroplasticians! Those of you familiar with Dr. Caroline Leaf understand this term. Dr. Leaf explain that the word “Neuro" means brain and “plastic” means to change. We have been learning how meditation on the Word of God renews our minds, increase our faith and changes us, and the world around us through our prayers, positive words and declarations. Dr. Leaf confirms with scientific facts the power of renewing our minds with the Word, as God has commanded us to do! Dr. Leaf states that every time you THINK, you actually change the physical composition of your brain- for good or for bad; toward health and well-being or sickness and disease. Scriptures instruct us over and over again that we must saturate ourselves with the Word of God EVERY day- meditate it, rehearse it, memorize it, personalize it, visualize it! Joshua understood that the battles the children of Israel would face in taking the Promised Land would require the Word of God to strengthen their minds and hearts. Joshua 1:6-9 “Strength! Courage! You are doing to lead this people to inherit the land that I promised to give their ancestor. Give it everything you have, heart and soul. Make sure you carry out the Revelation that Moses commanded you, every bit of it. Don´t get off the track, either left or right, so as to make sure you get where you´re going. And don´t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out if mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you´ll get where you´re going; then you´ll succeed. Haven´t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don´t be timid; don´t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.” Joshua commanded them to be strong and courageous, but he knew that it would take meditation on the Word of God in order for them to walk this out. “Strong”- to be resolute; firm; strengthen; to seize; to fasten upon; conquer “ Courageous”-determined; to make one´s self alert; steadfast minded. We are also in the process of taking our “Promise Land” and we must stay focused so that we don’t give up and quit! I encourage you to get index cards and write out scriptures for the things you desire God to do in your lives. Personalize God´s Word TO YOU, speak it, declare it OUT LOUD over yourself and your family members, and over situation you want to see changed. Do this AT LEAST 3 times a day! Remember, you are changing your brain in the process- and you will begin TO FEEL the difference in your spirit and soul! The book of Daniel tell us the story of Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They purposed in their hearts to walk courageously, continuing to follow God and not allowing themselves to be indoctrinated into Babylonian influence and culture. Through their close communion with God, they stood out from the crowd in wisdom and understanding! “ At the end of the of the time set by the king to bring them into his service, the chief official presented then to Nebuchadnezzar. The king talked with them, and he found none equal to Daniel, Hananiah (Shadrach), Mishael (Meshach) and Azariah ( Abednego); so they entered the king´s service. In EVERY matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them TEN TIMES BETTER than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom” (Daniel 1:18-20 NIV) The Lord desires us to be 10 times better! That’s the favor of the Lord. Be strong and courageous, don´t waiver- for you shall be prosperous and have good success! “Prosperous”- to be profitable; to push forward in various senses; to advance. “Success”- to be intelligent; prudent; make wise; guide wittingly. As you meditate on the Word of God, declare that you are TEN TIMES BETTER than the others in the world around you. Declare with a heart of expectation that you are pushing forward with wisdom, intelligence and success! FOCUS → MEMORIZE → DECLARE → PUSH FORWARD→ EXPECT→DETERMINE→SEE!
