21-year-old girl ends her life Chandigarh, 21 July : A 21-year-old girl, pursuing the Chartered Accountant (CA) course, committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at her house in Sector 51 this morning. According to police sources, the girl, Shakshi Sharma, had completed her BCom and was staying with her parents. The police said the incident took place at around 5.30 am when the victim’s father had gone for a morning walk. On returning, he found his daughter hanging from the ceiling fan. She was taken to a private hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The police said no suicide note was found from the house. The police have also ruled out foul play in the case. The body has been kept at the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Sector 32, Chandigarh. The post-mortem examination will be conducted after the arrival of the deceased’s brother from Ahmedabad.
