21 years ago, at just about this time of day, you came into my life and changed it dramatically, in the most wonderful way possible. I had no idea what I was doing, but we figured it out together. You taught me everything I needed to know about being a parent. The meaning of unconditional love became crystal clear the second I laid eyes on you and I knew in that instant that nothing I had accomplished before you would ever be as important as you are. It is hard to believe that the time has passed so quickly, in little more than a blink really. You stand before me today, a grown man, confident, strong, smart and determined. You are loving and kind and you have the most amazing sense of humor. I laugh everyday because of you, no matter how bad things seem some days, I know that I will always have a reason to laugh and smile. You are my dearest friend and confidant and I am so very grateful every single day that I was blessed with the awesome responsibility of caring for you.
