21 years ago at this very time I went from ambitious, motivated, determined, teenage college sophomore to ambitious, determined, teenage college sophomore MOTHER to Breejordan Oliver ! ! ! Happy Legal Day to the chic that came into my life & immediately held me accountable, demanded that I achieve & succeed & at the same time watched & mimicked my every move ! ! She grew me up quick ! ! She was my first ride or die, I was the Bonnie to her Clyde & we were On the Run ! ! This is also a birthday for my A1s from Day 1s ! ! The babysitters, the taxi drivers, my consolers, my encouragers, my mentors, my prayer warriors who told me that I had NO CHOICE but to do it ! ! ! Being 200 miles away from home, raising my daughter alone, in college full time, working part time, on welfare, getting food stamps & WIC , driving a Hyundai Excel my grandmom brought 4 me while my refund check paid the rent on my subsidized apartment ! ! ! God is great ! ! And greatly to be praised ! ! He has shown Himself faithful over the years and as Bree completes her senior year at South Carolina State on FULL SCHOLARSHIP Gods greatness is STILL YET EVIDENT ! ! ! Celebrate with me everybody ! ! ! And - - to my single parents out there humping . . . Keep praying & believing ! ! ! Im a witness , this will b your testimony soon ! ! !
