22 January 2015 Zambia Prayer Focus ...BEARING with one another, and FORGIVING each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on LOVE, which is the perfect bond of UNITY. Let the PEACE of Christ rule in your hearts... Colossians 3:13-15b. Today the winner of our just ended elections will be known. Win or lose, lets learn to BEAR with one another, FORGIVE each other, put on LOVE for purposes of achieving national UNITY. The Zambia Prayer Focus for today is therefore as follows: 1. Pray for leaders of various political parties to provide good leadership that will maintain the peace and unity of the nation on this important day of announcing the election results. 2. Pray for calm, peace and unity in the nation as the results are being announced. Declare the Shalom of God over Zambia. 3. Pray for Gods wisdom to be with Justice Ireen Mambilima and her team at ECZ to effectively serve the nation faithfully and diligently at such an important time in our nation, and to the glory of God. 4. Pray that the winner of these elections will be all embracing and a promoter/symbol of national development, national unity, love, tolerance and forgiveness. 5. Pray that the winner will extended a brotherly hand of friendship, fellowship and love to other candidates, and honestly appreciate them for participating in developing our democratic tenets and leadership alternatives through their candidatures. 6. Pray that the integrity of the election results shall be preserved by all stake holders, and that all losing candidates will graciously concede defeat in the spirit of brotherhood, national unity and peace, and respecting the peoples voice through the ballot. 7. Pray that the incoming President will embrace fairness and justice without being vindictive, for vengeance belongs to the Lord. 8. Pray to acknowledge and thank God in faith that God is ushering us into a new season of greater grace as a nation, and pronounce Gods blessings of peace and prosperity over our nation.
