22 veterans end their own lives every single day. They never make millions. They never get fame. Most of America will never even hear their names. Their families will struggle with their funeral costs as well as the loss of their soldier. Facebook wont come alive with people memorializing them. The nightly news will not report their passing. They will die alone in a cold, dark corner of the world feeling as though no one cares. They are the best our nation has to offer and yet they will leave this life at their own hands and no one will stand up and scream about what a travesty it was to lose them. I take nothing away from Robin Williams. The man made millions of people laugh. He went and performed for countless thousands of troops. I understand the sense of loss from those that loved his comedy and his movies. This post isnt intended to take anything at all away from his legacy, nor am I unsympathetic to Robin Williams or his family. I think its a shame to see anyone kill themselves. However, what I do want is to make you think just a little bit about something while you are praying for Robin Williams family tonight. Who is praying for the families of the twenty-two veterans that will kill themselves in the next 24 hours? Join me tonight in praying that God will save at least some of these warriors from taking the easy way out. Join me in praying that God will breathe new life back into their lungs and that He will give them the strength and courage to get in the fight. Pray that someone will cast a light into their darkness. Maybe it will even be you. God speed, Robin Williams and God bless our nations veterans.
