23 December 2014 Daily Encounter Vision and Faith II “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house, by the which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” Hebrews 11:7 Today’s Scripture Reading: Genesis 6: 12-22 Like father Abraham, Noah was given an instruction by God and He too was foolish enough to believe God by obeying. His assignment too looked over-ambitious. He was instructed to prepare himself and his family for an impending destruction that would sweep the whole earth by building an ark of safety. Bear in mind that at this period in time, the world had never seen a flood before so they couldn’t really comprehend how a normal rainfall would destroy the whole earth. Noah too, had not seen this kind of a rain before but he chose to believe God anyway. I believe that those who may have seen him constructing the ark must have laughed him to scorn like in the case of Abraham counting the stars. One man of God said until men mock you, God will not make you. For somebody reading this devotional, I decree that as men are mocking your faith, God will make you in Jesus name. Noah spent 120 years to construct the ark. When the flood swept the whole earth, Noah and his family who were preserved inside the ark. I don’t know what God has told you that it looks like it cannot be accomplished; my word for you is, ‘Stay in Faith.’ Not very long from now, that vision will be realized. Abraham believed God and he received the promise of God. Noah believed God and what God told him came to pass. You can also believe God and experience the fulfilment of His word in your life. Prayer: Pray for grace not to give up but to stand firm, trusting in the Lord Faith Confession: God cannot fail me
