237 years ago a group of 56 men filed through a gloomy meeting hall on a stormy July day for the soul purpose of committing treason against their king. Stemming from open rebellion this sparked a full scale revolution against the most powerful country in the world. This monumental act of bravery from our first Americans did not occur in some far away land like so many other revolutions. This war took place in our own backyards. On the land we were raised on, Americans bled for to one day call their own. Today as all Americans should , think of those who have bled for our country both overseas and also for those right here at home who made the first of many sacrifices so long ago.
