23rd Sept 14..........11.30pm. In a few minutes time the clock will turn and make it the 24th of Sept.......A very special day in Parvatis and my life......for it was on this day Jatin was born..... Jatin.......our son.....our wonderful wonderful son....we love you kid. And i know that you get a bit embarrassed with all this mushy talk......but I cant help it son.....i write what comes to my mind..... And what comes to my mind is the gorgeous baby who was born on 24th Sept 1985.....you were a good looking kid even then...!! And what comes to my mind is the kid who was a natural on stage.....how you used to run on stage (all 21/2 yrs of you)....and do complicated steps with your Mas troupe... And how you at an early age imbibed spirituality and your Moms sanskars......hard to even imagine in todays generation..... And how you have an absolutely intelligent brain screwed on your head......youre a bit short tempered...but what the heck....who is perfect.... Ba......you are the best thing that has happened to Ma and me....and you know we will always be there for you....as you will be there for us!! I could go on and on but I know youll feel awkward....phir bhi son......its an indulgent dad writing about his son....and you know that Ma feels the same way about you!! So son a very happy birthday from your Ma and dad......love you kid....just love you.... And to end on a heavy duty clichéd melodramatic note (after all filmy hoon)..... two lines of an old song come to mind.... tumhe aur kya doon main dil ke sivaye..... ke tum ko hamari umar lag jaaye....
