24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued At: 5:00 p.m., 09 July 2013 Valid Beginning: 5:00 p.m. today until 5:00 p.m. tomorrow Synopsis: At 4:00 p.m. today, the eye of Typhoon (International Name: SOULIK) was located based on available data at 1,570 km East of Basco, Batanes (20.1°N, 139.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It is forecast to move West at 20 kph. Forecast: Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region and the provinces of Aurora and Quezon will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds blowing from the northeast to east will prevail over Luzon and coming from the southwest to west over Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
