24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued at: 5:00AM 20 June 2013 SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 am today, the center of Tropical Storm “Emong” was estimated based on all available data at 570 km northeast of Basco, Batanes (25.5°N, 124.8°E) {outside of the Philippine Area of Responsibility} with maximum sustained winds of 75 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph. It is forecast to move north at 22 kph. The Low Pressure Area (lpa) was estimated at 450 km west of ambulong, tanauan, batangas (14.5°N, 116.5°E). FORECAST: Metro Manila, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Bicol region will experience monsoon rains. Visayas, Zamboanga peninsula, northern Mindanao, Caraga and the rest of Luzon will be cloudy with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
