24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued at: 5:00PM 09 September 2013 SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 am today, The Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated based on all available data at 180 km North of Puerto Princesa City (11.5ºN,118.5ºE) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) across Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao. FORECAST: MIMAROPA and CALABARZON will experience cloudy skies with moderate to occasionally heavy rains and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides. Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Bicol Region, Visayas and Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.The rest of Luzon will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Extreme Northern Luzon and its coastal waters will be moderate to occasionally rough. Light to moderate winds coming from the east will prevail over Northern Luzon and from the Southwest over the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas.
