24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST Issued at: 5:00PM 26 June 2013 SYNOPSIS: At 4:00 pm today, a Low Pressure Area (LPA) was estimated at 870 km East of Mindanao (8.8°N, 134.9°E) embedded along the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Eastern Visayas and Mindanao. FORECAST: Eastern Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening. Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao and coming from the southeast to south over the rest of the country. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.
