24 arrested over Wukari mayhem In accordance with the clash which occurred in Wukari on April 15, the police in Taraba State have arrested 24 suspects The police spokesperson in the state, ASP Joseph Kwaji, said yesterday, that the suspects would be charged to court soon.“The command has so far arrested 24 persons in connection with the current Wukari crisis. I can assure you that the suspects would soon be prosecuted,’’ he said. The violence broke out in Wukari on April 15 when youths in the town protested the alleged killings in some villages by suspected herdsmen. On friday, the acting governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Garba Umar,imposed a 24 hour curfew during a visit to the troubled area .
