24 hours have gone by and a lot has been digested by a Candlelight Vigil for Jacob, Austin and their amazing mother Ashley! It was a rocking day full of fitness, music, foot massages, and 138 people who walked through the door to generously give back to Ashley in this dark dark time of her life along with getting an awesome workout in! At four oclock the dynamic changed from a fitness facility to a roof covering about 40 volunteers putting the Vigil together including McQueen high school JV basketball team help with parking, Camelot Rentals donating a stage, comes being delivered, candles being put together, balloons being blown up and tied, etc. The fact that we all came together as strangers and some friends was just as beautiful as the Vigil. Ill never forget this CamUNITY event as is was way bigger than any soul that was there, it was the power of Him that made all that possible as His vessels at every angel were giving, working, helping, and loving hard! We had an amazing turnout as we opened CCF up to over a hundred people to remember and unite for Ashley in hopes to give love and our respects in multiple ways! We had two beautiful singers Naliyah Vallejos sang Amazing Grace and Jenny Oxier sang Angel. Pastor Dan Dix from Outlook shared such a beautiful message that I hope Ashley just loved as we all did and also led us in prayer, moment of silence and the lighting of the candles! We released blue balloons into the sky, resembling Jacob and Austins spirits taking way to heaven! Color Guard from Mcqueen high School opened and closed the Vigil with such poise! D.j. Kentot was on site all day from 4:30am- till the end making sure every angel of the fitness CamUNITY was rocking to the Vigil mic, songs and inside Memory Lane display was catered with the most beautiful tunes that called for a great feel inside and out. We will never know what Ashley is feeling yet in this time of pain and confusion I felt that everyone there was thankful to be together, connect, encourage, give hope and supply an immense amount of love to help Ashley in both her current and later days! One suggestion is what I hope to make that we all pray for Ashley and later on down the road when things get quiet around the house may we reach out from time to time as community which is love....and remind ourselves that no man is an island: she will need you and us again even if it is just a simple hug, laugh or out to her favorite restaurant! CamUNITY has created its own set of wings over the past three years that keeps on soaring for so many different walks of life and for that we at CCF and everyone involved with making these events happen are so appreciative! CamUNITY is about giving back and paying it forward to people we know or may not have ever met. We believe that is what friends do, its what a community does and speaking for myself I feel completely 100 obligated to be a friend to a stranger as you never truly know what someone is going through! The act of selflessness and serving others is one of the most generous set of actions which supplies the heart with an abundance of love!!!! For that I am so proud to watch CamUNITY fly for these two beautiful baby boys and their gorgeous mother as in 16 hours was able to raise $4493. Last night was a night I will always remember and forever be grateful for the breath that we all get to take as we wake each day. Thank you Reno/Sparks and if you would like to go to another amazing Candlelight Vigil please consider Sunday November 16 at Studio Inspire 8521 White Fir suite C-3 Reno NV @ 6:00pm lm.facebook/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fmynews4%2Fnews%2Fstory%2FCommunity-holds-candlelight-vigil-for-deceased%2F8RVbyFvorkSoZKTRXrDlpg.cspx&h=uAQGDU9fn&s=1
