24 illegal road obstructions removed on Budgam-Khansahib road BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 20: To facilitate the people with better transport facilities and connectivity as many as 24 illegally constructed speed breakers on Budgam Khansahab road were removed here today. The speed breakers were constructed on the main road and were an obstruction to the smooth plying of traffic and often caused traffic jams and also damaged vehicles as they were not of legally prescribed size and shape. There were 26 speed breakers in a stretch of 16 km road up to Khansahab which were a source of discomfort to passengers as well as vehicles. However, R&B department is the concerned department to maintain roads and construct speed breakers of specified gradient and height, after proper procedures.
