#2409: I think Darren Wilson was justified in the murder of Mike Brown. Ive read several witness accounts and several documents in the case. It seems clear that 1) Brown reached for Wilsons gun, had assaulted Officer Wilson, 2) Undoubtably did not have his hands up and actually charged the cop, head down like a football player, according to the physical evidence in the way that the bullets entered his skull, and also according to many witness accounts, and 3) Wilson stopped firing shots as Brown stopped charging to give him the opportunity to surrender, which he did not; he continued to charge and then was fatally wounded. I dont think this case was racially motivated as Wilson had every right to shoot Brown and fear for his life. Had Brown shot Wilson in the vehicle no one would be flipping out, but this seemed to he his intention. The witness accounts that say otherwise were either inconsistent with the physical evidence, from people who were running away and therefore didnt remember well (memory is extremely faulty), or from people who convince themselves of lies. You can call me racist all you want I havent said or implied anything racist. You can ignore the facts of the case to fit your hands up dont shoot we want justice narrative, call me ignorant, blah blah blah. And maybe the justice system is biased, and certainly it is set up to protect the police. Even so, I dont think the outcome would be any different if it were unbiased. I think its great that were having the conversation about black lives and police brutality, dont get me wrong. Truly there have been instances when blacks were victims of police brutality. I just dont think this was one of them. Either way all of the hype has resulted in something positive, this whole movement as a result of the fear blacks have for their safety, which is real, and the law that will hopefully be implemented for police to wear body cameras. So Im not really against you guys and the media for that reason. Ive only to say thank you. But try to understand that theres another side here.
