247 [Hebrews 12, Psalm 119:17-32, Isaiah 59-63] I have a great cloud of witnesses of faith surrounding me. I lay aside every encumbrance and sin that so easily entangles me. I run with endurance the race that is set before me. I fix my eyes on Jesus Who is the Author and Perfecter of faith. I consider Him Who endured hostility so that I might not grow weary and lose heart. I am disciplined by God. I am dealt with as His child for my good so that I may share His holiness. This discipline, for the moment is sorrowful, but afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness. I strengthen others. I make straight paths for my feet so that I can be healed. I pursue peace with all people. I see to it that no root of bitterness springs up in me, or between me and another. I do not refuse Jesus Christ. I show gratitude to God for receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken by offering to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe. I observe God’s testimonies. Even though others talk about me, I meditate on God’s statutes which are my delight and my counselors. I tell God of my ways and He answers me. I choose the faithful way. I place God’s ordinances before me. I cleave to God’s testimonies. I run the way of God’s commandments, for He will enlarge my heart. My hands are not defiled with blood. My lips are not defiled with iniquity. I do not speak falsehood. I do not mutter wickedness. I do not sue. I do not plead. I do not trust in confusion. I do not speak lies. I do not conceive mischief. I do not bring forth iniquity. My feet do not run to evil. I do not hasten to shed innocent blood. My thoughts are not thoughts of iniquity. I know the way of peace. There is justice in my tracks. My path is straight. My path is a path of peace. I do not transgress against the Lord. I do not turn away from God. I rejoice greatly in the Lord. My soul exults in my God. I am clothed by God in the garments of salvation. I am wrapped by God with a robe of righteousness. - Affirmations of My Biblical Faith –
