248 [Hebrews 13, Psalm 119:33-40, Isaiah 64-66] I show hospitality to strangers. I remember the prisoners, as though I was in prison with them. I remember those who are ill treated, since I, too, live in a human body. I hold marriage in honor. My character is free from the love of money. I am content with what I have. I remember those who lead me spiritually. I am not carried away by varied and strange teachings. I am strengthened by grace, not by foods. I seek the city which is to come. I continually, through Christ, offer up a sacrifice of praise to God. I give thanks to His name. I do good. I share. I obey my leaders. I submit to my leaders. I pray for others. I ask God to teach me the way of His statutes so I can observe it to the end. I ask God to give me understanding that I may observe God’s law and keep it with all my heart. I ask God to make me walk in the path of His commandments, for I delight in them. I ask God to incline my heart to His testimonies. I do not incline my heart to dishonest gain. I ask God to turn my eyes away from looking at vanity. I ask God to revive me in His ways. I ask God to establish His Word to me, His servant, for it produces reverence for God. I ask God to turn away my reproach. I long for God’s precepts. I am revived by God’s righteousness. I am met by God for I rejoice in doing righteousness. I am like clay and God is my potter. I am the work of God’s hand. I seek God. I do not forsake Him. I answer when I am called by God. I hear when I am spoken to by God. I chose that in which God delights. I am glad in what God creates. I rejoice forever in what God creates. I am humble. I am contrite of spirit. I tremble at God’s Word. I am looked upon by God. I rejoice with Jerusalem regarding her future. I am exceedingly glad for her. My works are known by God. My thoughts are known by God. I bow before the Lord. - Affirmations of My Biblical Faith –
