25 years ago today God answered my prayers and gave me a son. He was a great baby-he pretty much slept all night from day one, and would smile virtually all the time. Soon he was sitting, crawling, standing, and walking. In fact, he was running before his first Christmas. Thats right-running before he was 9 mos old! I knew he was special from the moment he was born but it was pretty much confirmed before that 1st Christmas :-) He was the center of the universe for me and his Mom and his big sister too. Everybody just adored him. In what now seems like a flash he was off to pre-K and then kindergarten. I remember those days... I would drop him (and his sisters) off and pick him up from school quite often (one of the benefits of my 24 on/48 off schedule) and loved to see that happy face of his and hear him tell me how his day in school went. We did all the fun stuff together-cub scouts, little league, NASCAR, Rangers games, went fishing (I still have the picture I took when he caught his 1st fish), we played golf-I still remember the 3 foot putt he had to make to break 90 at The Heritage Club in Myrtle Beach when he was 15 (it was the first time he finally beat his old man)! We hung out, did sleepovers (I remember the TP trips-LoL), Mavs games (against the Lakers) and Stars games (against the Red Wings), I remember always asking him who his best buddy was and he would always say it was me! Those were what people call The Good Ol Days Today Kyle Hindmarsh is 25 years old and hes becoming a man. Im a proud father, and I know he will make me even prouder. Happy Birthday Son! Lets do that Route 66 Road Trip this year to Vegas!
