(25 years ago today, I wake up of gunfire but I thought it was practices going on for Republic day so I was not worry bcoz I don’t know what is happen I was excited, mom n her family was cooking big feast at my uncle house for my grand father death anniversary..i was waiting for mom to take me to that house early morning after the prayers… finally mom came collect newspaper to home … I request mom take me... so she took me with her two of my cousin also came with her…as I we near to Henveiru football ground 3 people coming toward us with guns in some kind of uniform.. Still I was hold my mom‘s hand giggle n laugh suddenly mom n cousin got silent n told me stop giggle something seriously going… since I was youngest among my cousin. … those people stop old man with long stick on his shoulder was carry… hmm they must have thought he is fisherman n that’s why they said to him loud u cannot go out of male’ we r surround male’…still I did not know what going on…I watching them without any fear...after that those people came toward us with guns, it was pointed at us…one of them said put down gun n start talking to my mom, that man was call Luthufee.. one of them clean his trouser sand came to my eye I got angry as was about scream my cousin hold my mouth...that Luthufee went his home..quickly mom took me with my cousin to uncle house on the way my mom was crying n weeping then I ask why crying tell me what happen then told me cant go back home those people not good people u have stay with ur cousin at uncle house she cant take risk of my life…everything change everybody was crying… only thing I hearing was crying n gunfire sound… soon mom left me at that house. I stay in that house for one week with out my mom, dad, bothers n sister’s … each n everyday I was crying..4 November1988 Indian arms came that house n check whole house as I was scared of them too but arm man told don’t be afraid they came to help us.. . During those days I was very much protect by uncles family n we prayer all day n recite Quran )… this is my memories of that day some people try to change that day but I will never forgot it…pls hajam
