#2550 Well, this is my first confession here. If it gets published, admini ku periya nandri. I was born in south tamilnadu and was raised up entirely in Avadi/Ambattur.My family is pretty small and loving and I was brought up with all the good qualities and ethos particularly, being a gentleman towards ladies. Now, Im almost 6 feet tall, well built and a bit darker complexion skin. You can say that my look as rugged. Why Im describing my physical features? Read on.. During my college days, it was my first campus interview. The company which had come to recruit, is a reasonably well established company and there was a considerable competition among our students to get placed in it. Well, I was one among them. I was dressed up in a fantastic formal attire, the best clothes I had, went to the interview with great confidence and passion. Even though It was on-campus interview, students from other colleges were allowed to participate, so there was a huge crowd. The recruiting companys representative told that there were only 10 vacancies. So tension mounted in all of our faces and we were pretty anxious. There were approximately 600 students who attended the first round and only 32 were selected for the 2nd round. Just imagine how intense the filtering was..!! From 2nd round, there were only 16 selected to the 3rd and final round and I was one among them. Now, I was the college topper at that time and people didnt had any surprise of me being recruited. Even I thought the same. Final round, a one on one interview with the HR. Even though I exhibit a gentle smile, waiting outside for my turn, to prove myself, to impress the HR, deep within, I was scared, I was shaking inside out, but Im a good actor though. My name was called. Went inside and saw a girl, the HR, probably not more than 21 years old I thought. This was the conversation we had, HR : Well, youre the topper in 2 previous rounds and I can see that youre the college topper..Impressive..! Me : Thank you mam, yes Im. HR: But, dont you know that you shouldve been clean shaved, to appear for a interview? ( I dont have the habit of shaving since I had lot of pimples in my face and shaving would make it worse. So I trim to zero) Me : Sorry mam, I have skin problems which worsens If I shave, So I trim. HR : Okay, I see that youre a 2008 National Karate Champion? Right? Me : Yes. HR : Well, I dont think youll be suitable for our company and the type of work we do..!! Me : Why mam? Why not? What made you to think that? HR : I dont know, you look pretty rugged, well, may be, you should be more presentable.. Me : Are you trying to say that I didnt groom well and Im not dressed to the occasion? HR : No, no, you just look rough and rugged. Me : And you say that my looks is the deciding factor for your job? HR : Well, Me : Can I have my file? If my qualifications and my interview performance is not going to land a job and If my looks does, I dont want your job. I stormed out. Friends were asking, what macha? what happened? 4 arrear vachirukura nane place agiten, ne agama irupiya? great macha..( People had assumed that i got selected) Went to the bus, sat at the last seat, ensured that no friends sees me, Azhuthen, ennala thangika mudiyala. Na alaga iruken nu dhana ma soluveenga? Ana nan asingama iruken nu enaku vela kuduala amma..Nan indha reason ah veliya epdi soluven amma? , I thought. Went to home, told everything to amma, cried, cried and cried. Amma : Ava enna pa interview edukurala? Illa mapillai pakurala? Why Im posting this? If someone looks dark, rugged, anything related to physical looks, people judging on it, Idhu enna nyayam? Rugged people kula oru soft manasu iruku theriyuma? Endha kozhandha kan la irundhu oru sottu thani vandha en uyire pora mari valikum theriyuma? But, Thats a phase of my life. Now, Im a successful architect, have a beautiful hearted girl as my gf and we soon gonna marry next year. Girls/boys, dont judge a person by mere looks, there is a lot more to love and admire inside. #Architect #admini : Well said bro.. i think most of the lady hr are lik this.. not all though..
