25th BIG BEAR FUN RUN 2014...#1 !!! {54 second video} THE 1947 ALVIS WON BEST special interest VEHICLE at the 25th ANNUAL BIG BEAR ANTIQUE car club show (Fun Run) Daphne, the Alvis, won award number 31, and the HIGH DRAMA was that Dad (Robert Wickwire) and I ran out of gas just as we were about to be called onto the red carpet. The car behind us had already zoomed around us, but Allen Carrier was on his way with a gas can, because we knew the tank was low, and we were able to quick-fill then cut back around all the other cars that had zoomed around us and catch up except for entry number 32 which went first. • Best in show was a souped up converted Helms Bakery truck and matching Winnebago trailer. • Peoples Choice, the number one selection from the Big Bear Antique Car club members, was a 1965 Chevrolet pickup truck. • Posting this was quite humorous.
