26 Jan - Euromaidan in Edinburgh The Ukrainian community have organised one or two gatherings recently in support of the Euromaidan protests and have now announced a final gathering on Sunday 26th January at 2pm outside the city chambers in the High Street of Edinburgh. They say: The format, so far, has been to gather, display flags, hold prayers & sing some songs. Perhaps some placards and leaflets could be added - people are interested and have shown support. The gathering lasts for about 90 minutes. Scottish Ukrainians from Hawick, Dundee, Galashiels, Glasgow & even, today newly adopted members from Kyiv have joined the gathering. I am appealing to all who associate themselves with the Ukrainian community in Scotland to support the final gathering. Could you please pass this message on via e-mail, social networks, telephone, conversations or any other means. Let us all join together on Sunday 26th January at 1400 outside the City Chambers in the High Street of our wonderful city of Edinburgh to show our solidarity with the people of Ukraine in their struggle to determine their own destiny.
