26.) Uttara Bhadrapad nakshatra 333*20’ – 346*40 Uttara Bhadrapad nakshatra lies entirely in the constellation of Pisces and consists of two stars Pegasi and Andromedae. Uttara Bhadrapad in Sanskrit means ‘the latter auspicious feet’ with the previous nakshatra it forms ‘the auspicious feet’ of Bhadrapad and indicates love of travel to distant places. The symbols are the latter half of the bed and again the two-faced man, the bed indicates a secure resting place for the soul and the two-faced man indicates the ability to look at things from two different angles. The deity of Uttara Bhadrapad is Ahir Budhnya, the serpent of the deep sea, it lies concealed in the primeval darkness. Both, Purva and Uttara Bhadrapad depict the duality of Heat and Cold or Light and Darkness. The females having their Moon in this nakshatra are considered to be “griha laxmis” or gems of the family. The planetary Lord of the nakshatra is Saturn and the Lord of Pisces sign is Jupiter, the two Saturn and Jupiter, base and pious, again signify the conflicting dual principle present in the Creation. Sattwa (harmony) guna (attribute) prevails in the group of last four signs and the sign while Tamas (inertia) guna prevails in the nakshatra emphasizing the conflict. The nature of the nakshatra is ‘manushya’ or Man-like. The power of the nakshatra is the power to shower Cosmic blessings on the individual.
