#2610: Today, I accidentally discovered my father’s private journals. Although I don’t like to snoop, I thought I would take a gander. It was surprising. He’s been writing almost every day about his family, his business, his thoughts, etc. My father and I don’t have the best relationship in the world. But here, written on his journals, he wrote things that he would never say to me, things like how he’s proud of me, things like how he loves me. For the past decade, our conversations have been brief and often turned into a yelling match. It’s weird to see this caring interior. I probably won’t say this out loud because I am stubborn, embarrassed, strong-willed, etc, but Dad, thanks for sacrificing everything for our family. I don’t say this enough but I love you.
