263 Polling Stations in Bandipora – Toll free number installed BANDIPORA, MARCH 15: As many as 2500 claims regarding addition in the voter list have been received during past one and a half month in district Bandipora which are being uploaded within a day. For this purpose, the concerned Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have played a tremendous role. This was stated by Electoral Registration Officer, Bandipora, Mr. Shabir Ahmad Raina during a meeting of Nodal Officers here today. While discussing about the preparedness of upcoming Lok Sabha Elections, Mr. Raina said that a Toll free number 1800 180 7059 has been installed in the election cell for receiving claims and grievances from the people. He said that the Transport Plan besides the report of 08 Sorties required in the district has been submitted to the concerned authorities. He said that the communication plan under which 10 Satellite Phones are required has been formulated whileas all the Committees constituted as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India to ensure free and fair elections in the district. He also said that 263 Polling Stations are being established in the district to facilitate nearly 2.10 lakh electors to cost their vote on the day of election.
