27 Years ago today I shipped out to basic training. I was a young man newly married with one son. I had no idea what was ahead of me but I knew I wanted an adventure. Well I got one! I have been to 37 states, 17 countries and 3 continents. I have seen many changes to our Army. I was there when the Berlin wall fell. I watched our military turn towards the cyber age and embrace it. I have had the pleasure recruiting hundreds of our best and brightest. I have enlisted thousands working as a MEPS counselor. I have served in 2 wars and directly remove some evil from this earth. My wife and Sons have followed me around the world. They have had to do without a husband and dad on many occasions and a lot of that time was spent worrying 24/7. They never complained and ALWAYS supported me and what I do. I have meet some of the greatest people that have walked this earth and call many of them Brother and Sister. Many of you won’t know them because they do what they do not for fame and fortune but because they believe in our way of life. Looking back I have no regrets and I am looking forward to my new life that will allow me the time that my family deserves.
