27th October, 2014 Dear Chief Obosu Mohammed, Re: WALKING THE PATH TO VICTORY This is to thank you for your open letter, dated October 24, 2014, congratulating me on my “emphatic victory” of October 18 in the presidential primary of our great party, the New Patriotic Party. The nature of the victory provides a rallying point for strong cohesion amongst the rank and file and members of the Party for the drive to power in 2016. As aptly put by ‘my man’, Alan Kyerematen, the man you worked for as press aide, the NPP tradition is best exemplified in the statement “after competition comes co-operation”, and I see your letter in that spirit. I am determined, in a “camp-blind” manner, to assemble all the talents in our Party so that we can realise the great task of mobilising the overwhelming majority of the Ghanaian people for victory in 2016. The NPP programme of transformation and development is a credible platform around which we can unite the people of Ghana for lasting progress and prosperity. I share your concern about the conduct of our members over “rejected ballots.” Education has to be a priority. I am glad that you support so strongly the nomination of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as my running mate. I am confident that, with co-operation amongst ourselves, Ghana will work again with an NPP government at the helm of affairs. Thank you. God bless. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo
