Mo. At UN General Assembly Wearing Indian dress. Speaking in Hindi. Attendance considerable. But not full house. I am surprised. And kind of worried to see that. Speaks about Indias global message. That,India dreams of Vasudhaiva kutumbakam- whole world as one family. Reviews whole world situation. Balanced reference to Pakistan. Refers to terrorism as global challenge. Asserts need for joint action. Says, lets work towards the G-All world. ( a fine, creative term, not G-2, G-6/7/20, G-X or finally G-0, as some experts say, but G-All, good one ) Make UN more inclusive. ( Indias claim to permanent seat on UNSC? ) Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism must be passed. Peace stability & systematic functioning of space & cyberspace. UN policing & peace corps should be strengthened & countries who contribute should be involved in decision making. Focuses on interdependent world. Post 2015 agenda should focus on sustainable development & fulfilment of primary need of common people:- homes, toilets, clean water etc. Refers to need for joint action on climate with CBDR principle. We are one with nature, thats what Indias Adhyatma philosophy states. Yoga is holistic response to realise oneness with nature & universe. We should have international Yoga day. UN completes 70 years next year. It calls for change in composition of UNSC. ( so the reference did come up ) Indian polity, including foreign policy is being reconnected with deep Indian roots. Prime Minister speaking about Adhyatma, one-ness,that is Advaita -of the whole world,of man with nature & Yoga represents connecting modern India with our deepest roots,to define our global consciousness & role. -->Credits::Avinash Dharmadhikari
