29 October Update on Sewerage pipe Saga Good day Would you have an update on the serious sewage spills which are currently occurring , and when these might be resolved? I know the Blue bridge pipe has been fixed and this spill has been resolved 1. The slipway at Mariners Row next to the Swartkops River, which is still spilling sewage as of a report this morning from Jenny Rump of the Zwartkops Conservancy. I inspected this area on Monday and saw the extent of the previous spill. 2. The spill next to the Markman canal near Enviroserv and the Aloes waste site at Aloes. I spoke to the Alliance plumbers supervisor, who was installing the new pipeline on Monday at Aloes, and he mentioned the Mariners Row spill should be resolved by Friday this week as they are waiting for a new section of pipe. Apparently the spill at Aloes has still not been resolved as of this morning, as a valve has now been damaged.
