2905 - Saturday means?.... yes youve guessed it parkrun and my home parkrun of Durham again as i home in on my 200th parkrun, today been 198th. Beautiful Maiden Castle frosted pastures and running track peppered with parkrunners in appropriate running attire for the -2C temps and a certain individual in a lime green vest black shorts, red Santa hat with leopard print trim and pink gloves oh and orange adidas sneakers a mish mash of colours but there was no mish mash about the performance giving it six nowt from the off and delighted to cross the finish line in position nnnnnineteen with another best time for the year (since August) 21.:05 ...sub 21 soon hopefully. WArm ups and cool downs took me to 36.49 miles for the week the plan of daily 5+ miles getting me over the 25 for the week. Great criac as usual post parkrun with the usual susepcts, they know who the are and decided to wait for lunch to be served as I was a tad late for the breakfasts, one portion of an Italian peasant dish, ingredients eloquently described by the new member of catering staff, a young chef by the name of Liam who can be described and an entertaining genius character, one portion as I say and 3 No. forks ...they know who they are! Chill for the rest of the afternoon deciding to give the North East XC Championships at Newcastle Town Moor a swerve and prepare for another heavy session this evening...... CrookACs Christmas Meal is could get messy as I have a arranged transport home, however, I shall attmept to keep myself right for tomorrows Stockton Trails Races at Preston Park with promises to be festive with more than an hint of biblical overtones I cant wait to join my flock!
