2O11 #ThrowbackThursday A cold & rainy Sunday morning in #Moscow working around the clock to get these sculptures painted in time for the opening of my #SunRayRicochet exhibition. This photo always makes me laugh.The team that was helping me build these was not at all interested in working on Sundays (notice the guy in background getting the BBQ going & the pile of raw meat hiding from rain under one of the forms not yet painted). They made fun of me in russian for working on the holy day, and offered me double shots of vodka (at noon) and when I respectfully passed they got salty. I wish I had taken a barbecue & booze break with these guys. Lesson learned. Never let deadlines overshadow the adventure. за здоровье!
