2nd Gen BD6 is the subject. Both seats removed to be scrapped. Donor Cars: 2005 STI base of the seats 2013 back of the seat and base foam and seat cover. This job was not an easy conversion. The BD rails are completely different from the 2013 WRX arrangement. The goal is to use the 2013 seats. What I did was make a hybrid seat using the 2005 STI bases (which matched the 99 BDs rail bolt pattern) and removed the foam and slip covers only to replace them with the 2013 foam & black and Red stripped seat covers. The unanticipated part of this Job was that the 2005 seats had these blue padded leg paddles welded on for leg lateral support on either side of the bases. I had to cut the foam from the 2013 seats (for the lateral support paddles to fit) and line them with a tough cloth (sort of like Demin) so that they did not tear through the foam due to wear. The 2013 foam and seat cover fit perfect on the 2005 base frame after it was all put together. These seats are snug as heck and comfy! More importantly the seats work perfect!
