2nd Period Report: Hawks - 1 & Blues - 1 Well the chippiness continues, though thankfully no fights have broken out. Unfortunately, the penalty stream also continues, one of which led to the Blues goal when they were on a man-advantage due to a delayed penalty. At least time, most of those penalties are not the fault of biased officiating. The Hawks offense has been testing the goalie, with Seabrook even striking iron, and a few close calls. Passing has mostly looked good, until the blind pass by Seabrook that helped lead to that Blues goal. However, penalties are still hindering them and they did get a bit sloppy at times. Neither of which make it easy to score goals. Defense wise, the Hawks are about the same as last period, expect for the previously mentioned sloppiness and that defensive screw-up leading to the goal. Raanta has been looking great in net, considering he hasnt played in an NHL game since October, he doesnt show any signs of rust. Though when he came out past the blue line...my heart was in my throat. The PK continues to tirelessly get the job done....I only wish it didnt have to work so much. For the next period: Though Ive said this before, it bares repeating, since the Hawks apparently didnt hear me the first time...Stay OUT of the penalty box. Also, screening the goalie might help a few more of those pucks befuddle the goalie, or at least might help yield some second chance opportunities. Continue to play aggressively, more like the 1st period than the 2nd period, get back that control and domination of the game. This game be won by the Hawks.....and nothing would be sweeter than to beat this bunch of thugs. In Coach Q We Trust. GO HAWKS!!!
