2nd Period Report: Hawks - 1 & Penguins - 2 Better, but still nothing to write home about. The Hawks did manage to halve the deficit thanks to a blast of a shot rocketed past Fluery by Brookbank, which the former never saw. Our team has played more lively this period and shown signs of life and improvement. However, the Hawks were dealt another blow when Toews took a questionable hit to the head and shoulder along the boards and had to leave the bench. For my mind, I would have made sure that Crosby was wailed on every time he touched the puck. It remains to be seen how the Hawks will manage their collective anger against #44, this NHL goon who hits people in order to hurt them and take them out of the game. Apparently certain members of the Penguins think that this game is an audition for a Slapshot remake. The Hawks have come back from worse, but maybe teaching certain members of the Pens a lesson is more important than 2 points. In Coach Q We Trust. GO HAWKS!!!
