2nd Period Report: Hawks - 2 & Sharks - 1 This game continues to be one exciting and fast-paced game of hockey to watch. The Hawks offense has been getting the job done, they have had a number of close calls and good chances, but have only one additional goal to show for, courtesy of Sharp off of a sweet pass from Kruger. However, this was enough to regain the lead after the Sharks had scored. Defense wise, the Hawks are also doing a a good job at reigning in the Sharks offense and keeping them out of the shooting lanes. Crawford did let one goal in, a puck that took a wicked ricochet into the net, but has still looked solid in the net and the rest of the team has been protecting him well. The PK was very dominate this period and there has been an increase in checking as well. Keys to the Game: The Hawks offense must continue to do more of the same, only more so. Keep putting pucks on net and screening the goaltender. Oh and a few more goals scored would be nice. The Hawks defense also should continue to keep playing tight; more checking and hitting really wouldnt go amiss. And most important....they cannot step off the gas and MUST convincingly put the Sharks away. This game is the Hawks to win or lose. In Coach Q We Trust. GO HAWKS!!!!
