2nd TIP FOR THE DAY! Dealing with fear the right way. What to do when scared? Fear makes most people feel insecure and so, the world becomes more violent, competitive and unbalanced. So, we should, for starters, find means with which we can at least control fear. Highly sensitive people (and there are many of them) experience strong waves of collective fear (that cause increased anxiety and worrying) which may affect both the ethereal and physical body negatively. Their expression is illnesses and bad sensations. So, it is best to learn how to protect ourselves from the effects of our surroundings. It is important to understand that the “protection” we are talking about is not in the form of an external shield, closing and isolating, but by creating an inner condition, rejecting the negative by reinforcing the positive. The healing of fear is made possible by turning unconscious, uncontrollable fears into a waking awareness, in which fear can be seen as it is: an illusion. If we can see that our true nature is love, we can dissipate this illusion. In the presence of love, there is no room for fear. Explanation: We can try to understand that most negative situations that we fear end up not happening. We can preserve this fear energy and use it for physical empowerment. If we constantly create fear mind patterns, they can be charged with a strong magnetic force and attract exactly the situations we were afraid about, and vice versa of course. So, if we regularly practice the transformation of negative thinking into positive, until it becomes a habit, we can increase our ability to see an experience as a challenge and not a threat. “Yeah, but what do we do when these negative situations are not in our head as futuristic scenarios but we are experiencing them now? There are various techniques for this, but remember: They are only first-aid techniques. If you don’t change your attitude about life, you will not be able to let go of the fear!!! 1. Confront the fear face to face. If the situation is already happening, there is no point to try to escape or deny it. So let’s imagine the worst that could happen, look with our mind and see what happens when it does. It’s always not as bad as we thought. What happens is that normally we don’t “finish our thought”, meaning- we don’t see the thought all the way through because of the thought of “what happens if…” (try and see) 2. You can imagine it happening to someone else and think – “whst advice would I give him?” Imagine how he would deal with it, especially what he gains from the same situation. Meaning- what lesson can be learnt from it. 3. Transfer the attention from your personal matters into someone else’s who is in going through hardships. Develop compassion. 4. We are afraid of the past and future, never the present. So if we always live here and now, in the eternal present, there will be no room for fear. Learning how to live here and now is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. It requires work and learning but its benefits are: eternal peace and tranquility, which we will discuss at some other time.
