3/11/2014, 7:17 AM FOR THE CHOIR DIRECTOR: A PSALM OF THE DESCENDANTS OF KORAH Psalm 44 1 O God, we have heard it with our own ears— our ancestors have told us of all you did in other days, in days long ago: 2 You drove out the pagan nations and gave all the land to our ancestors; you crushed their enemies, setting our ancestors free. 3 They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strength that gave them victory. It was by your mighty power that they succeeded; it was because you favored them and smiled on them. 4 You are my King and my God. You command victories for your people.£ NLT 1 O God, we have heard it with our own ears— our ancestors have told us of all you did in other days, in days long ago: A FRONT ROW SEAT OF UNFOLDING HISTORY His story, thats what its all about, as every other story has an ending, ours in, and through the Lord Jesus Christ is just beginning as we are His, and being His we have inherited eternal life. It was so fresh, so vital to keep fresh, and meaningful that it was rehearsed daily. May our greatest remembrances be of God, and all he has done for us, in us, and through us to His glory, and honor. We are such a privileged people keep rehearsed in that, and of its celebration, we lose that we lose our witness, and our testimony. And though it started long ago, keep it ever fresh, and up to date. 2 You drove out the pagan nations and gave all the land to our ancestors; you crushed their enemies, setting our ancestors free. The very land was to be honored, as He was, and is the sustainer of it all. Weve seen weather like never before, and hardly is God mentioned concerning it. The land treating its inhabitants as foul vomit. I dont believe we should worship it, but for Gods sake we better learn to honor it, or be willing to suffer the consequences of our actions, or inactions. Leviticus 19:28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you. 29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. Everything is so perfectly balanced, and established in God, that even His very judgment of its abuse is wrapped up in its orderliness. Leviticus 20:22 Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out. Gods blessing, and prosperity that He has entrusted to us is our responsibility. To whom much is given much is required. 3 They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strength that gave them victory. It was by your mighty power that they succeeded; it was because you favored them and smiled on them. Jesus deflated our egos so as to keep our pride centered in Him, even as man He had His pride centered in the Father. Without me you can do nothing If we would only keep speaking that into our hearts, minds, and souls, we would mature a lot faster, and be that much more accomplished for the journey. He didnt just empty us out to make us discouraged, or defeated, I can do all things through Christ Jesus my Lord. In me you have life and you have it more abundantly. God help us to have an identity crises if we are failing to know who we are, and all we arwe in Christ Jesus or we will live a slip shod existence. Stay In The Smile Of His Affection Stay in the smile of His affection, That your face be ever glad. Even when comes heartache dont fret, You have all the reason chase away the sad. 4 You are my King and my God. You command victories for your people.£ MY KING, MY GOD, AND MY VICTORY He is my everything both great and small, He gave Himself for me made everything new, He is my everything, none other will do.
