How do you prepare yourself mentally for the WOD? Do you look to see what the workout is for the day? Do you familiarize yourself with the movements ahead of time? Do you review your training log to see what your previous loads, times, reps were? Do you show up early to do additional mobility or prep work? Do you eliminate distractions or things that might interrupt you? Do you show up ready to listen and learn? Do you show up ready to work hard? My challenge to all of you is to develop a pre-workout Mental Prep routine to maximize the quality of your training experience and enhance your performance. Write your IT STATEMENT and use it as a mantra. Eliminate distractions. Be mentally prepared to be your best. I guarantee it will make a huge difference.
