3/17/14 The Victorious Life Word For Today: Be Ye Transformed Read Romans12:1-2 - Our Minds Must Be Transformed! To Be Transformed means, to change or alter completely in nature, form or function. In Romans 12:1-2, the Apostle Paul admonishes us to transform our minds, when he says to us, I beech you therefore brethren (sistern) by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your minds, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. He then gives us some hints on how to do this, when He suggest to us in 2 Corinthians 10:5 by, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ. And then again in Philippians 4:8, saying, Finally, brethren (sistern), whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Even the Prophet Isaiah chimes in, when he says to us in his own book, Isaiah 26:3, Thou wilt keep him (her) in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he (she) trusteth in thee. In 2 Corinthians 5:17 Paul also tell us that, If any man (woman) be in Christ, he (she) is a new creature, old things are past away, behold all things are become new. This is what happens to every man, woman, and child, who makes the decision to forsake the worlds ways and ideas, and gives his or her life over to Jesus Christ, by accepting Him as their Lord and personal Savior. In the eyes of God, once a person accepts His free gift, His Son, Jesus Christ into their lives, the transformation of our old ways of how we walk, and how we talk, and How we act, and how we think, are past away. And the new way we walk, and the new way we talk, and the new way we act, and the new way we think, have become new, the very moment we accept and claim Jesus Christ as our Lord And Savior. However, notice I said, In the eyes of God. Even though in the eyes of God this transformation has taken place, it is not going to become a reality to us right away or overnight. How we do things and how we think about things and how we conduct ourselves or lives, are not going to just suddenly change. There are some things we must do once we accept Jesus Christ into our lives, if we want to see and feel the changes. We must purpose in our hearts and minds to make the changes in our behavior and attitudes, in order for us to see the transformation in our lives. And if we want to change and if we want to see those changes in ourselves, then we have to do what the Apostle Paul encourages us to do, and that is, to Be Ye Transformed . . . How? You may ask; by the renewing of our minds! Stay tune for the next few days to see how we do this . . . From My Heart To Yours! Have A Blessed And Safe Day! :-)
